Katie is the founder and manager of Gingersnap Consulting LLC. Our goal is to make a difference in the EdTech space by assisting companies in selling to K—12 institutions as well as serving as a consultant to K-12 institutions.

Katie lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her husband and their very loved dog. She enjoys traveling around the world and her favorite trip is the semester she spent abroad in Spain while in college. During her free time Katie loves spending time outside with her family, golfing, hiking, paddle boarding, skiing, and scuba diving. When not outside she enjoys cozying up at home and scrapbooking, reading, cross stitching, and working on her newest hobby - rock tumbling.

Katie's professional journey has been characterized by adaptability, a commitment to excellence, and a diverse range of experiences. Her educational foundation from the College of Saint Benedict, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, Hispanic Studies, and Secondary Education, laid the groundwork for her career path.

She started her career in the classroom and taught high school Spanish and third grade before transitioning into sales and finding a home in EdTech serving K-12 institutions. She has thrived as a proven and successful sales professional across multiple roles working with charter, private, and public schools throughout the United States. Her roles have required a consultative and solutions-based approach to selling, allowing her to effectively manage all aspects of the sales cycle.

Katie has worked at an Audio Visual (AV) reseller selling a wide range of hardware and software products (noted below). She achieved success and earned a spot on the Champion’s Club multiple times and always hit her sales targets. In a later role, Katie sold training and educational videos + content directly to K-12 institutions. While here, she was named Rookie of the Year. In another role, she was tasked with managing the company’s largest territory and through her strength in organization was able maintain and nurture relationships with major clients, reseller partners, distribution partners, and internal teams across the international company.
